OBJECTIVES
Our ambition
The pandemic has sharpened already existing developments in a certain group of children & young people, who often come from an educationally deprived milieu or have a migration background :
- decrease in empathy,
- increased incidence of physical & verbal violence,
- absenteeism from school, social and educational disadvantage,
- loss of trust in state & society, lack of perspective, disrespect and less willingness to take responsibility.
By working on the priorities, the project plans to develop pedagogical formats and materials that focus on the vulnerable children & youth.
The project addresses the following questions :
-
How must the transformation process of education be designed so that ALL young people find their place in society and do not feel or are excluded ?
-
Can project work in the field of the environment, strengthen the democratic competences of young people and thereby contribute to social inclusion ?
-
How do we prevent exclusion & discrimination ?
-
How do we deal with the loss of trust ?
-
What is the new role of the school (school development) & teachers (teaching development) ?
-
What contribution does education make to young people finding their active place in school and society ?
It is about an educational contribution with regard to the socially necessary process of social cohesion & social peace.
The project aims at the partners
-
reflect on their own work with regard to the major challenges and involve their own institutions in this process,
-
work with action research models for this transformation process and document and gain insights into where starting points for successful inclusion lie,
-
to let the institutions become part of a European network of schools & teacher education.
For the target groups of head teachers and teachers this means that
they receive pedagogical impulses for new ways of teaching & school development through the formats of the teacher training and the practical examples,
-
they realise that they can join a European network of schools and teacher training through which they receive joint in-service training,
-
they learn that they have to start and carry out the change processes on a local level, but by being part of the network they recognise the European dimension of the challenge and by working together they can bring this dimension into the classroom, the school and to the young people.
A common concept for the workshops & the reflection phase :
-
a catalogue of criteria for the preparation and implementation of job shadowing,
-
documentation of the workshops & job shadowing with inspiring examples that can be implemented and further developed in teacher training at national and European level (Erasmus+ accreditation),
-
a roadmap with the main cornerstones of a democratic & inclusive education 2030,
-
collection of expertises, studies, etc.,
Plan for dissemination of the results through social media, website and regional / national discussion meetings with stakeholders to strengthen transferability and sustainable development.
Our production
Outcomes
& achievements
Aware that this is a more long-term transformation process, partners expect to see :

first insights into the effects of an education that enables young people to learn in a more project- and topic-oriented way, to build democratic competences and to deal with their place in school & society,
-
first approaches of a school culture in which school is a laboratory for young people to find themselves, to grow, to develop their personality on the basis of mutual respect and trust,
-
to initiate a transformation process through sustainable products.
Results, in the sense of realisable products, will be:
1. a common concept for the workshops & the reflection phase,

a catalogue of criteria for the preparation and implementation of job shadowing,
-
documentation of the workshops & job shadowing with inspiring examples that can be implemented and further developed in teacher training at national and European level (Erasmus+ accreditation),
-
a roadmap with the main cornerstones of a democratic & inclusive education 2030,
-
collection of expertises, studies, etc.,
-
plan for dissemination of the results through social media, website and regional / national discussion meetings with stakeholders to strengthen transferability and sustainable development.
Our deliverables
The following products will be developed in the course of the project :

-
practical examples for inspiration for schools that did not participate in the project,
-
the concept and results of the training units will be documented and published in a user-friendly way for schools and teacher training institutions,
